Criteria: Every Board Member must have at least accumulated 25 points of professional development
Standard of Excellence
Criteria: Majority of Trustees must have received Master Board Member Award
Certificate of Completion in Leadership Governance Training
Criteria: Board has successfully completed Leadership Governance Training Program.
Leadership Development Point System
WSBA, NSBA or Other State and/or National Conferences
25 Points: WSBA Annual Conference.
15 Points: Any two-day WSBA conference. Any two-day National Conference.
10 Points: Any one-day WSBA Conference (Legislative Forum). Any one-day National Conference.
5 points: Any one-half day WSBA conference or other State Conferences (Fall Roundup Meetings).
WSBA Events, Service, and Activities
10 points: Attendance and service on a National School Boards Association National Committee.
10 points: Attendance as an Area Director at a WSBA Board of Directors meeting.
10 points: Serving as the WSBA Advocacy Liaison for local school board
