Laramie County School District #1, Cheyenne , Wyoming , is accepting applications for a Superintendent of Schools.  The successful candidate should possess high moral character and have demonstrated successful teaching experience and management and/or administrative abilities in order to inspire and lead a school district that expects and supports a comprehensive educational program for its students.   Salary will be not less than $165,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Cheyenne , the state capital of Wyoming , is located in the southeast corner of Wyoming . The city is known as the “Magic City of the Plains” and has a population of around 60,000 citizens. The community is an active economic, cultural, and political center. The city celebrates its western history each year with the “Cheyenne Frontier Days”. Cheyenne is a family friendly town with many neighborhood parks and a Greenway path for walking or riding bikes that encompasses a majority of the city.  Laramie County Community College is located in the city, and the University of Wyoming is located in Laramie 45 miles to the west.  Opportunities for hiking, hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, golfing, and other recreational endeavors are abundant.

Laramie County School District #1 offers a comprehensive educational program for 12,933 students in grades kindergarten through 12.
