The certified Board Member Program is a voluntary program established by the Wyoming School Boards Association to encourage school board members to improve their effectiveness. Ongoing board development is essential in meeting today's challenges. |

Individual Achievement Awards |

| Certified Board Member - 50 points | ||
| Certified Master Board Member - 100 points | ||
| Award of Distinction - 200 points | ||
| District Achievement Awards | ||
|
Standard of Excellence Award - Presented to a district when a majority of current members have received or are eligible for the Certified Master Board Member Award. |

Certification of Recognition - Presented to a district when all current board members have 25 or more Board Certification Points. |
||
|
Board of Distinction - A plaque presented to districts to recognize outstanding performance by a board as a whole. |
||
|
Board of the Year - May be awarded to the school board that best exemplifies good boardsmanship for the year. |

"Points" are earned by attending and participating in WSBA workshops, NSBA workshops, district-sponsored workshops or other state and/or national conferences. |
||
|
Board members are asked to contact WSBA after they have attended a conference or workshop so that their records can be updated. |
