AWARDS PROGRAM

 

The certified Board Member Program is a voluntary program established by the Wyoming School Boards Association to encourage school board members to improve their effectiveness.  Ongoing board development is essential in meeting today's challenges. 

 
     
 

 Individual Achievement Awards

 
   Certified Board Member - 50 points  
   Certified Master Board Member - 100 points  
   Award of Distinction - 200 points  
     
  District Achievement Awards   
     
 

Standard of Excellence Award - Presented to a district when a majority of current members have received or are eligible for the Certified Master Board Member Award.

 
     
 

Certification of Recognition - Presented to a district when all current board members have 25 or more Board Certification Points.

 
     
 

Board of Distinction - A plaque presented to districts to recognize outstanding performance by a board as a whole.

 
     
 

Board of the Year - May be awarded to the school board that best exemplifies good boardsmanship for the year.

 
     
   Points  
     
 

 "Points" are earned by attending and participating in WSBA workshops, NSBA workshops, district-sponsored workshops or other state and/or national conferences. 

 
     
 

Board members are asked to contact WSBA after they have attended a conference or workshop so that their records can be updated.
